It is as robust and stable as it is radically elemental. Designed to quietly and confidently define space, this console can be cut to almost any length. Options include a range of stone and wood selections, matched stone book-ends, and a secret channel for hidden power and media cables.

DESIGN STORY
FORMALLY & STRUCTURALLY DIRECT
In this trabeated arch, the massive and dense material—stone—meets the ground and works vertically. The lighter, more flexible material—wood—rests upon the stone and spans horizontally. The interlocking of the two materials is a precise combination of the geometric principles of stone arch construction and mortise and tenon wood joinery. In principle, it's possible to make an arch with twenty-four of the stone pieces, because of the specific angle at which they are cut. The proportions are such that the stone is as slight as it can be, supporting the wood at mathematically determined points that allow it to cantilever without deflection.
